Richard Cash Wins Anderson GOP Straw Poll by 2 to 1 Margin!

Tonight, April 6, Richard Cash won the straw poll at the congressional debate hosted by the Anderson County GOP at Anderson University. The five candidates for the third congressional district answered questions on topics including abortion, jobs, cigarette taxes, health care, the war on terror, illegal immigration, and term limits.

At the end of the debate, moderated by former SC GOP Chairman Katon Dawson, all registered voters in District 3 were invited to vote in a straw poll, and Richard received twice the votes of the next candidate.

Candidate Votes Percent
Richard Cash 78 42.9
Rex Rice 39 21.4
Jeff Duncan 28 15.4
Neal Collins 26 14.3
Mike Vasovski 11 6.0

People are obviously identifying with Richard's message of returning to God, abandoning the failed policies of socialism, and taking back our government from special interests and career politicians.

This straw poll comes just a month after the McCormick debate where Richard took second place behind State Senator Shane Massey, in Sen. Massey's home district. (Sen. Massey has since withdrawn from the race.)

With the primary election just two months away on June 8, Richard needs your help to keep his momentum going and continue reaching voters with his message of Faith, Family, and Freedom.
