Dr. Mike Vasovski (congressional candidate) explains support for Richard Cash
Dr. Mike Vasovski was a Republican congressional candidate in the third district, but he was not in the top two in the primary, so he is supporting Richard Cash in the runoff.
The Aiken Standard reports that Vasovski said he will vote for Cash and that he has given the maximum donation to the Cash campaign. Vasovski also wrote the following letter of support for Richard.

Former candidate, 3rd Congressional District, South Carolina

If memory serves me, my first encounter with Mr. Cash was in Greenwood, SC at an early Tea Party event in 2009. It was a very warm and muggy day and before the afternoon was over a thunderstorm blew through the tree shaded grassy field near the entrance of the Greenwood Fairgrounds. An eighteen-wheeler had pulled into position a huge flatbed trailer upon which we stood to speak. Given what the Tea Party movement has become, it's doubtful that many of those in attendance that day, understood and appreciated the messages they heard. Mr. Cash must have, because he has consistently spoken emphatically and clearly about the need for us, "We the people", to take back our government from control by
special interests. I believe this was the essence of the original Tea Party in Boston on December 16, 1773. Fast-forward to 2007 and Congressman Ron Paul's supporters revived the concept of a Tea Party on December 16, 2007 in Boston, MA, again to draw a line in the sand against the
special interests. This time not against the King of England and Parliament; but large banks, Wall Street and the military-industrial complex.
Mr. Cash is a remarkable person. Articulate, accomplished, well educated and apparently highly self-disciplined; witness the results, a first place finish among the six of us who competed in the Republican primary on June the 8th. That result, by a candidate, who was not the most highly funded, can mean only that he overcame the odds with incredible fortitude and determination. He did not do this by himself. Often while my wife and I were out in the upstate putting up yard signs, we'd come across one of Richard's volunteer groups who were putting up his large, solidly mounted signs. He must have inspired them to go the extra mile. Richard joked in his stump speech about having 8 children and their utility in his campaign. He really wasn't joking. Cindy and I met most, if not all of them, and from brief encounters, it holds true that the "fruit doesn't fall far from the tree". They give the impression they are mature, polite and cheerful regardless of chronological age. Richard's wife Marsha, was also frequently at his side at events this past year and we are glad to have gotten to know her also.
If Mr. Cash is elected, I see him as one of the deep thinkers of our next Congress. He reminds me of the Republican Congressman from Michigan, Thaddeus McCotter, Chairman, Republican House Policy Committee. Both are tall and thin in stature with measured slow speech that thankfully gives those of us who require more time to digest what they are saying, a chance.
Let me explain again why I have chosen not to endorse either Mr. Cash or his opponent in the run-off. Simply put, if there were; in my opinion, an absolute reason that either man should NOT win, then I would state so publicly by endorsing the other. That is not the case. Therefore, I feel the choice must be left totally up to you, the voters. Take what is written above, and use it together with the other information available to everybody and make your decision. Check websites like
www.Opensecrets.org and the
Federal Election Commission but above all, get to the polls on June the 22nd if not before.
Sincerely,
Mike Vasovski, D.O.
